FELIX

Felix is a consolidated TDC instrument with cutting-edge performance, plug-and-play capability, multi-OS compatibility at an affordable cost. Thanks to its small size, the instrument is always ready for use, making it a valuable and portable tool for the user.
Felix has two channels (CH1 and CH2) plus one input for synchronization (SYNC). Input events from detectors are converted in digital pulses employing a custom programmable threshold comparator, which allows you to perfectly adapt your interest application.
The combination of ease of use and high performance makes it an ideal instrument for exploring quickly with little effort new ideas and variants of systems containing time measures.

On-Board Elaboration

Thanks to the high performance guaranteed by on-board processing, Felix is able to process up to a total of 140 million samples per second and a maximum SYNC frequency of 150 MHz.

Future-Proof Connectivity

Plug-and-Play operation thanks to the latest generation USB-C connectivity with a rotationally symmetrical connector.

Double-Detector Capability

Two independent inputs plus a synchronization channel for maximum flexibility in your field of use.

Experiment Under Control

A dedicated indicator on every channel permits you to know what is happening on your set-up at a glance.

Configurable threshold

NEVER MISS AN EVENT

Stop missing events due to an uncalibrated front-end. Felix offers the possibility to adapt to every need through a programmable variable threshold comparator. Moreover, this opens up the possibility of new experiments such as Time Over Threshold, raising the level of your experiments or applications.

Modern sofware provided at no additional cost

The software is the link between the measuring instrument and the user, which is why it plays a fundamental role in any application. At the same time, the software must be flexible in adapting to all possible applications without becoming a burden for the user. For this reason, and to offer the maximum possible performance, the entire software stack is developed in C ++ with the possibility of using a pleasant graphical interface or, for the most demanding, directly on the command line; the latter option with C ++ or Python libraries.

GUI - Graphical Unit Interface

You can control your Felix with a powerful, straightforward GUI.

CLI - Command Line Interface

Do you need a more advanced and customized feature? Don't worry; with our framework, you can control and receive data from Felix directly via Command Line Interface or use it as a C++ Library
