Felix-16 is Felix’s bigger sister: a TDC instrument with cutting-edge performance, plug-and-play capability, multi-OS compatibility at an affordable cost.
Felix-16, as the name suggests, has 16 input channels and one additional input for synchronization (SYNC). Input events from detectors are converted in digital pulses employing a dual polarity programmable threshold comparator, which allows you to perfectly adapt your interest application.
The instruments packs its 16 channels in a compact sized aluminum box, making it a valuable and portable tool for the user.
The combination of ease of use and high performance makes it an ideal instrument for exploring quickly, and with little effort, new ideas requiring timing measurements.

On-Board Elaboration
Felix-16 is able to process up to a total of 200 million samples per second, using the available 16 onboard histograms.
Future-Proof Connectivity
Fast and Plug-and-Play operation thanks to the latest generation USB-C; USB 3.0 allows up to 90 Msps raw, lossless, timestamp transfer to PC
16 Input channels
16 independent inputs (without licensing) plus a synchronization channel for maximum flexibility in your field of application.
AUX channels
Felix-16 features 2 additional, auxiliary channels: one 10 MHz clock input that can be used to clock the TDC logic, and a Marker In channel, useful as a trigger for certain acquisitions
Dual Polarity
Whether using NIM or TTL signals, we’ve got you covered: dual polarity Front End Electronics handle both negative and positive input signals
DUAL EDGE SENSITIVITY
Felix-16 offers the possibility to adapt to every need through a programmable variable threshold comparator, and firmware control of input events. This opens up the possibility of experiments that need to consider both Leading and Trailing edges, such as Time Over Threshold, raising the level of your experiments or applications.

Modern sofware provided at no additional cost
The software is the link between the measuring instrument and the user, which is why it plays a fundamental role in any application. At the same time, the software must be flexible in adapting to all possible applications without becoming a burden for the user. For this reason, and to offer the maximum possible performance, the entire software stack is developed in C ++ with the possibility of using a pleasant graphical interface or, for the most demanding, directly on the command line; the latter option with C ++ or Python libraries.
GUI - Graphical Unit Interface
You can control your Felix with a powerful, straightforward GUI.
